Dear reader

It's been over a month since the toppling of Arlene Foster as DUP leader, but the outgoing first minister has revealed that she still has to speak to those who ousted her.

Mrs Foster spoke out on Friday after Peter Robinson, in his News Letter column, contrasted her acrimonious departure as DUP leader with how Ian Paisley left the post in 2008.

Mrs Foster said she was disappointed that no-one had approached her to declare unhappiness at her leadership and that none of the plotters had instead "had a conversation" with her.

Meanwhile Edwin Poots, the new DUP leader, has said he will implement Irish language legislation at Stormont as quickly as possible.

I hope you enjoy your weekend.
