This represents a continuation of the downward trend of recent weeks, with 20 people with the virus having died during the previous week. According to NISRA, the total number of deaths here involving Covid-19 is 816, with 420 deaths taking place in hospitals and 340 in care homes.
Over the last 12 weeks in total, 975 'excess deaths' (deaths above the average for the corresponding period in previous years) have been registered in Northern Ireland, with the number of 'excess deaths' in the year to date to June 19 totalling 716.
The Department of Health meanwhile has confirmed that one more person with Covid-19 has died in Northern Ireland in the last 24 hours. There have also been four more new cases diagnosed.
