Stocks of Pfizer vaccine arrive in Northern Ireland earlier than planned

The roll out of the Covid -19 vaccine has gained pace as the first doses arrived in Northern Ireland overnight. The initial batch of the Pfizer/BioNTech vaccine were transported from England. It has been taken to a central storage facility, the location of which is not being disclosed.

A further six people have died in NI in the last 24 hours after testing positive for Covid-19. The total number of individuals in Northern Ireland to test positive for Covid-19 since the beginning of the pandemic now stands at 54,177.
