Good morning

British Medical Association Chair Dr Tom Black has said with current rates of COVID-19 infection "there is a nightmare ahead of us in the health service". Speaking this morning on the Nolan Show, he said the "logical decision is to go into a 4 week lockdown".

Secretary of State Brandon Lewis has said the Northern Ireland Office will not attend any further talks about Troubles legacy unless victims groups are included. He was speaking after it was revealed that academics, republicans, loyalists and representatives of the Irish and UK governments attended recent talks at Lambeth palace about resolving legacy matters - but that victims and unionist parties were not invited.

Two women have been left 'badly shaken' after escaping injury when shots fired at front door of home. Detective Inspector McKenna said: "Thankfully, no one was injured as a result of this reckless attack but, as you can imagine, the occupants of the house have been left badly shaken.

And the Northern Ireland Office will today announce a funding pledge of £3 million to mark the centenary of the Province. Brandon Lewis, the Secretary of State, will unveil details at a gathering set up by conservative think-tank Policy Exchange today.

Have a good day
