The Health Minister Robin Swann has just announced a public inquiry into the practice of an NI hospital consultant. The decision, announced in a statement to the Assembly, relates to the work of a urology consultant who earlier this year retired from the Southern Trust.

NI business leaders have welcomed a £300m cash lifeline but warn: It must be paid quickly, we're in survival mode. 

And Sickness levels in NI councils 'highest in the UK'The findings come from a joint report by Northern Ireland's two public sector auditors. Teachers in Northern Ireland also take more sick days than other parts of the UK, according to the report.
