First Minister, Arlene Foster has written for the News Letter today. In her platform piece she talks about the reasons behind the circuit break extension and states 'We cannot simply bounce from one lockdown to another.'

Meanwhile, BMA Northern Ireland chair Dr Tom Black warned that hospitals are over-capacity. He has said that Stormont's decision not to impose a fresh lockdown was 'negligent'.
