Another 828 new Covid infections + significant increase in hospital admissions
Northern Ireland's hospitality industry has been "tipped over the edge" with news that two of Belfast's landmark pubs will not reopen this year, according to an industry spokesman.
One more person with Covid-19 has died, bringing the number of Covid-related deaths to 586 in Northern Ireland. There are now 14 people fighting for their lives in ICU in NI hospitals - and another 91 patients with COVID-19 in hospital.
The Londonderry area remains a hotspot for new infections. On Wednesday Unite the union said it had been informed that at least three workers have tested positive and a further 15 left self-isolating following an outbreak among Seagate's Londonderry workforce of 1,400.
