Good afternoon,

This is today's Coronavirus update from the News Letter team.  I hope you find it informative.

As today's statistics from the Department of Health sadly reveal, the spread of the virus shows no sign in slowing down. There have been an additional 727 infections in the past 24 hours and five Covid-19 related deaths.

Today we also report on how the pandemic has affected one of Northern Ireland's animal sanctuaries. Crosskennan Lane Animal Sanctuary is appealing for help amid the largest influx of kittens it has ever seen.

We also check out how a Stormont department is working to recover emergency Coronavirus funding sent to ineligible businesses.
