Subscribe              Oct 19, 2020           Dear reader The row over the introduction of new coronavirus restrictions in Northern Ireland took another dramatic twist on Monday as a DUP MLA issued some of the strongest criticisms yet.  Paul Frew, the MLA for North Antrim, told the Assembly there was "no rhyme and no reason" as to why businesses that had put in place infection control measures were being told to close. Mr Frew's comments appear to back up much of the extraordinary criticism voiced by DUP Agriculture Minister Edwin Poots on Friday. Mr Poots has received repeated criticism from the other political parties since his comments to the BBC on Friday.  The divisions within the Executive and the Assembly continued as Northern Ireland recorded another six coronavirus related deaths on Monday. A total of 820 positive cases of the virus were recorded on Monday. The latest data from the Department of Health also reveals the postcode with the most cases is BT48 - this is in Co Londonderry.
