| It has been intermittently sunny today, amidst the ongoing bleak autumnal weather. Tonight the clocks go back, so the evenings will get darker. It was clear weeks ago that Catherine Connolly would win the Irish presidency. Heather Humphreys has conceded, even though the result has not been formally announced. Ms Humphreys, a Presbyterian from Monaghan, says her family suffered 'sectarian abuse'. The SDLP has already said Sinn Fein-backed Ms Connolly should push an all Ireland. The Church of Ireland denies a schism in which a conservative Anglican group has taken over. We report Prince Andrew's alleged financial link to a Northern Ireland caravan park owner whose businesses collapsed.
