| Claire Cartmill | Business Reporter | | Me again! Every week I tell myself 'Keep it short this time' but with so much happening across Northern Ireland's vibrant business scene, it's impossible not to share! Yet again, this week has been full of milestones and momentum. In Co Down, a well-known yoghurt producer is bidding a fond farewell to its general manager after an incredible 17 years of service. Over in Mid Ulster, a local building firm is celebrating a major win — scooping the Sustainable Building accolade at the 2025 Master Builder Awards. Huge congratulations to them! Elsewhere, emotions ran high as hundreds gathered outside Council HQ for a moving musical protest to save the much-loved Riverside Theatre. You'll find video and photos from the day in our coverage. And at long last, Queen's Parade in Bangor has a confirmed start date for its long-awaited £60m regeneration. Don't forget, we're expanding our Appointments section — so if you have a new hire or a promotion to shout about, I'd love to include it. Also, be sure not to miss this week's Love Your Local, where we meet Georgina and Frank Warwick. They share how they ended up buying "the most expensive birthday cake ever" led to them buying one of Northern Ireland's most iconic pink bakeries — Dougies Goodies. Got business news, a local hero to spotlight, or just some feedback? Drop me a line - claire.cartmill@jpress.co.uk — I'd love to hear from you. Until next week, Claire |
