Good afternoon

In Coronavirus news today we report on the countries that could make the next travel green list. Unfortunately the list is not long and doesn't include some of the most popular destinations for UK travellers.

This comes as the latest Department of Health figures reveal there have been no further deaths of patients who had previously tested positive for Covid-19 in Northern Ireland. There have been another 75 new positive cases and on Tuesday morning there were 29 Covid-positive patients in hospital, of whom two were in intensive care.

Yesterday saw the start of easing of the Coronavirus restrictions with many hospitality premises able to reopen. First Minister Arlene Foster and deputy First Minister Michelle O'Neill both took advantage of the reopening by visiting the historic Strand Cinema. Mrs Foster and Ms O'Neill joined a group of "silver screeners" enjoying some classic short films from the 1930s.

In other news UUP leader Doug Beattie has called for those planning a protest on the NI protocol in Portadown on June 5 to ensure they "engage with the PSNI". News of the protest has been delivered on social media. The post promoting the Portadown protest comes from a group calling itself the 'unionist and loyalist unified coalition'.

And finally, with fingers crossed, we report news from the Met Office that NI could be heading for a 'mini heatwave' over the Bank Holiday weekend. Temperatures are expected to reach "the low 20s" in Northern Ireland over the Bank Holiday weekend, Met Office meteorologist Craig Snell has revealed.

I'm sure we all hope that forecast doesn't change.

Have a good evening
