Dear reader

The push to take Northern Ireland's businesses out of lockdown appears to be gathering momentum.

Stormont's Economy Minister, Diane Dodds of the DUP, revealed on Wednesday that she has submitted papers to the Executive that contain reopening dates for businesses here

Mrs Dodds spoke as pressure mounted on the Executive to make more progress on the lifting of lockdown, with business leaders continuing to express their exasperation with the lack of progress in comparison with the rest of the UK

The news comes as the latest coronavirus statistics from the Department of Health showed that there have been no further deaths related to Covid-19 in Northern Ireland

However, another 88 new infections were recorded in the Province, taking the number of new cases in the last seven days to 561.

Stay safe
