Good afternoon,

The Northern Ireland Executive is sticking to its original plan around reopening schools to some pupils from March 8.

Ministers made no change to plans for the date of return to the classroom at this afternoon's Executive meeting.

With Northern Ireland's pathway out of lockdown due to be published early next week, First Minister Arlene Foster said the Executive will be "guided by the data, not by dates".

The UK's Covid alert was today lowered from 5 to 4, but with a warning from health experts to the public not to become complacent.

Meanwhile, the Department of Health recorded five more Covid-19 deaths and 281 new infections in the last 24 hours.

Enjoy your evening,
