Meanwhile, as Northern Ireland's Covid vaccination programme continues to be rolled out, chief medical officer, Dr Michael McBride said today that clinically extremely vulnerable people should all receive their jabs by early next month.

The Department of Health confirmed those who received a shielding letter because they are in this category can now book a vaccination appointment.

Today's statistics from the Department of Health reveal there have been 407 new infections in the last 24 hours. That figure is 60 per cent higher than the number of infections reported yesterday (253).

Sadly another nine people in Northern Ireland with Covid-19 have died.

Enjoy your evening safely.
