It rained most of yesterday but Linfield and Cliftonville stayed cheerful for the cup final despite the damp weather.

It ended in disappointment for Linfield and joy for Cliftonville. I think of how happy our late political editor Henry McDonald would be, who wrote about his lifelong support for the team, which he acknowledged is not a passion many News Letters would share! Our past columnist Tim McGarry is a fan too.

It is grey so far this morning but, importantly, dry and set to remain so for the marathon this morning, Belfast's largest ever, which sets off within the hour.

Here is Jackie McGregor on the drudgery of housework

And Roamer writes about Kathy Kelly, the eldest sibling of the historic musical phenomenon The Kelly Family, saying she is inviting herself to Belfast.

Thought for the Week is from Rev Arthur Clarke, and Billy Kennedy reports on the Church of Ireland primate being among Anglicans who met the Pope on Thursday.

Meanwhile, my assessment of whether or not it is a good time to buy home heating oil (it is, a very good time) has had 20,000 readers over the last 24 hours.

Enjoy your reading and your Sunday,

Ben
