It is total rain over Scotland as I write this on Saturday morning, yet dry across Northern Ireland.

Much of this week it was grey and damp in Belfast, as it was in Manchester when I was at the Tory conference

Northern Ireland was barely on the radar and the DUP did not attend but Doug Beattie did

I took this video of Nigel Farage asking him about his united Ireland comments and he said he was misquoted But the Irish Times says he was not misquoted

Meanwhile we continue to carry essays from people sympathetic to unionism arguing, in some cases, that unionists should return to Stormont  and that, as Jim Allister writes here, they should not

Here Jeff Dudgeon challenges all the gushing there has been about Jon Boutcher's Kenova probes as a model for legacy

The DUP chair Lord Morrow told us the conditions for return have not been met

We have been following the row over the ballooning cost of the GAA stadium at Casement now that the Euros 2028 will go to the UK and Ireland

And now the origin of the military jet seen flying low over eastern Northern Ireland has been established

Carl Frampton has spoken to this newspaper about matters including his feud with Barry McGuigan, ahead of his autobiography
