Sun is expected in Northern Ireland today and in the coming days. But in recent days the chilliness and darkness to which I referred in this piece is all the more apparent now

The row over the court ruling that criticised disciplinary action against two PSNI constables followed apparent political interference the like of which the leading criminal detective Norman Baxter says he never encountered in 30 years in the police  I write here that I am not surprised that police stand accused of pandering to Sinn Fein

The saga also raises concerns about the calibre of the Policing Board's oversight of the PSNI

The Irish deputy prime minister has said that their work with the UK over Northern Ireland is better than it was a year ago but needs to improve  Days earlier the DUP leader said he had been engaging with the government all summer over their requests over the Windsor Framework

I have often written about how Belfast International Airport is well placed to be a transatlantic hub, most recently here. And here is a plan for such a hub

The motorcycling world is shocked at the death of the team owner Paul Bird
