Mr Poots also said he did not believe another lockdown was the way to tackle high infection rates in the region.

* US President Joe Biden is probably 'just reading headlines' about NI Protocol from perspective of EU and Republic of Ireland, a UK cabinet minister has said.
UK Environment Secretary George Eustice was speaking after US President Joe Biden warned against the creation of a hard border on the island of Ireland.

* 'British scum': BBC Nolan caller from Belfast explodes at former top Tory over Universal Credit.
A caller to the Nolan Show this morning referred to one of the show's guests as "British scum" and told her to "leave our country".
