Health Minister to ask for tightening of coronavirus restrictions + positive cases in 64 schools
The Belfast mother of a 12-year-old autistic boy said her family "struggled to get through every day" of lockdown, due to the withdrawal of education, respite care and support services.
Just two weeks into the new school term, which was met by a strange mix of relief and anxiety, it has emerged that 88 cases have been recorded among pupils or staff, according to the Department of Education.
Health Minister Robin Swann indicated this afternoon that he would recommend a further tightening of some restrictions to tomorrow's Executive meeting.
"Your dedication is not only apparent when we are faced with a global pandemic," he said.
