Subscribe              Mar 16, 2021           Dear reader After a lockdown in Northern Ireland stretching back almost three months, at last we have details of how and when some of the restrictions will be lifted.  The Stormont Executive confirmed on Tuesday that they have agreed a series of relaxation measures coming into force over the next month, which will include a full return of schools after Easter.  The remaining primary school children still being home-schooled are to return to the classroom next Monday, April 22, while all children will be back following the Easter holidays on Monday, April 12.  The other wider restrictions being lifted include the return of click-and-collect services for all non-essential retail, the return of sports training and the stay-at-home message being lifted.  It is welcome news that all pupils will be back in the classroom, however not everyone seems to agree.  In a statement, the Ulster Teachers Union suggested that it was not "sufficiently safe" for schools to return.  The latest statistics released by the Department of Health confirmed that one more person with Covid-19 has died in the last 24 hours.  In addition, another 164 new infections have been detected.   Alistair Bushe Editor   Want total access to all of our online content?
